I was 42 pounds overweight, depressed, and not getting any younger.

I was never really a very big person when I was young.  In fact, I was a very scrawny 115 pounds in high school. But then somehow I managed to gain 22 pounds in college.  It’s no mystery really.  A diet of hamburgers and beer pretty much sustained me for several years.  Shortly thereafter I got married and started really packing it on.  My mother-in-law moved in with us and she could really cook.  I reached 179 pounds!  At only 5′8, I had a double chin, pot belly, and had to wear tight 36″ pants.

Long story short, I got divorced after 7 years and was single again.  Needless to say I was a wreck, both emotionally and physically.  Time would heal the emotional wounds, but could be  my worst enemy if I didn’t do something about my physical fitness. I wanted to start over, meet new people, and get into the best shape of my life.

I had a blood test which showed my cholesterol and triglycerides had gone through the roof.  My doctor told me to start exercising to lose weight, bring my cholesterol down, and to start eating healthier.  So I started walking, eating more fruits and vegetables, and reading all the health and fitness magazines.  I was very motivated to get my life back on track.

Well, over several months I was able to lose 10 pounds.  But I was still frustrated at how I looked.  I couldn’t see the difference.  Sure my pants were a little looser, people at work said I was looking better, but every time I looked in the mirror, I knew I could do better.  I just didn’t understand why all those days at the gym, the salads, and long walks didn’t make me look like Brad Pitt.  To top it off, my blood work didn’t improve much either!

I then tried using supplements, bought some of those gadgets on tv, and even tried eating one meal a day.  In the end, I just started feeling worse, wasted a lot of money, and didn’t lose any more weight.  In fact, I put a few pounds back on.  Eating one meal a day turned into one meal plus several dollar menu snacks at McDonalds.  I thought “It’s just 4 nuggets”, or “It’s just one tiny little double cheeseburger”.  I said to myself “I’ll just work out a little harder tonight”.  Of course days would go by without doing anything.  I figured the supplements would do the workout for me.  You can really kid yourself when you want to.

I stopped going to the gym after awhile, started eating out more, and of course drinking to ease my nerves and dissatisfaction with my weight.  Then I met this really nice girl.  She was insanely hot actually.  You know what I mean?  It was obvious she worked out.  We got to talking about diet and exercise, how I was trying to lose weight, and other healthy topics.  She told me a similar story about how she struggled to lose weight and tried everything.  She was one of those people that believed everything she heard on television.  She too bought all kinds of things from those infomercials.  we had a good laugh.  But then she told me what finally worked for her, and she was sure it would work for me too.

So I looked up the program, Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle on the internet.  After buying it, I was able to download it and start reading it right away.  I was already convinced that this would be just another scam, but it had a money back guarantee, so I figured why not.  Besides, my new friend swears by it and I wanted to read it so I could have another excuse  to talk to her.

It was all great stuff.  Nothing too complicated.  Some number crunching and lots of stuff to track.  But organized and explained in a way that made it easy to follow and understand.  However, what really changed my mind about this book was the chapter on goals and motivation.  It really made me reflect on my life and why I wasn’t achieving my fitness goals. I realized that I had to change my old way of thinking and start over on a new path.

Today I’m in the best shape of my life.  I doing things now that I’ve never ever done in my life.  Even things I’ve done before were much easier now.  For example, I went hiking with some friends on the same trail I did when I was married years earlier.  I shaved 1 hour off the total time to reach the top from the last time I went.  And guess what?  I wasn’t even trying, nor was I tired when it was over.

Now I go to the swimming pool without a t-shirt on.  My pants stop falling down because my belly was bigger than my hips.  I can button the top button on my shirts and where a tie without choking or a double chin hanging over it.  I don’t have to buy fancy clothes anymore because I am confident in how I look in just about anything.

Okay, enough about me.  Let me tell you a little about this book.  It’s about nutrition, new recipes, some basic exercises.  Granted, I’m over simplifying this, but don’t let that fool you.  It’s packed with information.  It leads you step by step, where you make little changes everyday.  At first, you’ll think this is too easy, it’s not gonna work.  But over time, these little changes begin adding up!

Before you know it, you’ll be living a whole new way of life.  You’ll begin looking at yourself very differently and you’ll be proud of what you’ve become.  Take it from me. I went from a depressed overweight lonely person, to someone who’s confident, outgoing, and in the best shape of his life.

Remember that friend I told you about earlier?  Well we got to be very good friends if you know what I mean.  This program really worked for both of us and I recommend it to everyone every chance I get.  There are more stories you can read at the official site, but wouldn’t you rather have your own?  Just get this book. If you want to change your life, buy it now. It comes with a 60 day money back no questions asked guarantee, so you have nothing to lose.  Trust me, you won’t be sorry.

Sincerely

-Rob Rogers
